After pulling out of our driveway (only approximately an hour late :) we made our way to Silverwood Theme Park. The kids had gotten tickets here for Christmas last year and were eager to check out the theme park for two days. We wasted no time hopping on the rollercoasters. Take a peek below for some reviews of the roller coasters by Kasen.

Aftershock: Don't ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, ever, three days later...go on this ride. I'm serious. I've never been on it. That's how serious I am. Don't ever go on it!!!!! Oh, you want to know why? You go backwards straight down - that's why.

Corkscrew: It may look scary, but it is EPIC! If you find it, definitely go on it. But not 2 times. It makes your head hurt.

Timber Terror: The first ride I went on. I LOVED it! But I still didn't want to go on it again. It curves right and left, up and down. This was definitely a first major rollercoaster I've been on.

Tremors: Just like Timber Terror, but there are underground tunnels. Very cold it is (that's Yoda talking).

Besides rollercoasters, we ate some pretty yummy food (the nachos were huge - one serving could probably have fed all four of us! Also, the ice cream single scoop cone is actually 4 scoops - Kyle and I DID share that one!), walked ALOT, enjoyed some smaller carnival type rides, got soaked on some bumper boats, and were overall impressed with how clean the park was as well as how well the gardens were maintained.

We made it to our adorable AirBnB ABOVE A PIE SHOP (Noelle was in heaven) and all collapsed into bed.

The second day we focused on Boulder Beach, the large waterpark there. Thankfully, the park doesn't open until 11 o'clock, so we slept in, found some coffee at a cute spot next door, and picked out two pies to share (Chocolate Cream and a Lemon Huckleberry - they were both delish. Highly recommend Birdie's Pie Shop if you're ever in Post Falls, ID).

We closed the park down again, highlights included numerous waterslides (minus the one we had to wait over an hour for because there was a bee infestation at the bottom of the slide!), wave pool, giant water park area, elephant ears, bumper cars, a stellar magic show and a fun train ride around the park.

I have a feeling we will be returning to Silverwood in the future!

After our stop at Silverwood, we headed to Sandpoint, ID to stay a few nights with family. We had a wonderful time catching up, enjoying beautiful Lake Pend O'reille on their boat, eating delicious food, and just enjoying each other's company. Thanks Red family for the great visit!
